Rev. Dr. G. Vijay Raju began his ministry at 19 as an evangelist and church planter. He worked with a mission organization to reach out to villages and different people groups. In 2001, he was called to start Christ Gospel Ministries to train, equip, and establish churches based on the philosophy of the first-century church.
Bishop Vijay Raju recognized that thousands of pastors and churches in India lacked affiliation and biblical training. As a solution, he started the CGM ministry to provide training and develop local leaders. This initiative, led by Rev. Dr. Vijay Raju, formed a constitutional church and sound biblical denomination in India. The primary objective of this denomination is to protect churches from false theology and heresy and provide a platform to pastors and priests who do not have affiliation or membership with any existing denominations.
In 2015, Bishop Vijay Raju expressed his desire to join the Anglican Church of India and operate independently. On 12th September 2016, Dr. Vijay Raju was consecrated as an ‘Archbishop,’ along with 8 Diocesan Bishops, by the Anglican Church of India Metropolitan, Steven Vattappara of Kottayam, Kerala.
CRCI is now actively working across India to offer memberships and training programs to independent churches and pastors. This initiative aims to empower and equip them with the necessary skills and resources to serve their communities better. With CRCI’s support, these churches and pastors can enhance their knowledge and abilities, leading to a more fulfilling and thriving ministry.
